I used to build computers to order for clients and friends. Over the past year, I have built three computers for my use. One started with just some upgrades for my PC and became a mostly new build. The other was for my UNRAID server used for NAS storage and Docker containers for media and network services.
The third was for VMs to run QuickBooks at my job after a proof of concept on my home server. Ordinarily, I would not have built the computer for my job, but it is so similar to the two above that it seemed to make perfect sense.
The reason I don’t want to build vs. buy is really because of NZXT Computers. I am not being paid to say this. I have no sponsorship agreement or affiliate arrangement with them. I just don’t want to be in a position where I have to provide PC support for a product I built, especially when NZXT will do as good a job or better for nearly the same cost.
The point is that with NZXT you get the selection of components I would choose or recommend have the company to call if things go wrong. Not to mention the quality assurance and testing they do, which leads to quality component selection and better builds
